No Issues with 5Dimes Cash Outs – US Player Paid Fast

Posted by James on 02 November 2011 in Betting Sites News

18 NOVEMBER 2011 UPDATE

As expected, these matter are now resolved. Although we had 5Dimes’ impressive A rating on hold for 16 days while we monitored the forums for complaints, during this time period numerous person to person transfers were paid out same or next day. Those who were effected by the 17 October 2011 payment batch have been cashed out as well. For more than a dozen years now 5Dimes has never missed a payment and this one understandable slow pay due to a processor issue is understandable and was an isolated incident that was resolved quickly. With confidence we’re now restoring their rating of A and give www.5dimes.eu our full recommendation.

Original Post from 2 November 2011 left below for archive purposes.

5Dimes Slowpay5Dimes (Rated A) is widely considered one of the safest betting sites for US residents, but is currently having MAJOR issues with one of their payments processors. A number of payouts requested over the past couple weeks have not been made. According to 5Dimes management, this is result of a batch of payments sent on October 17, 2011 getting returned. These payments were reissued on October 24, 2011 but another week has passed and funds have not reached those who requested withdrawal.

5Dimes is in tough spot at the moment as their processor continues to assure them these payments are on the way. If 5Dimes were to reissue payments now via another processor, there is a chance players would end up paid twice, making half of the double payment difficult to ever recover. 5Dimes founder Tony Williams is however (as always) guaranteeing everyone will be paid. He just needs to wait several more days until he feels the chances players will be paid via this processor are unlikely. Management has also confirmed they’ve been in touch with this processor as recent as today (November 1, 2011).

Only US Player Affected

To make sure we’re clear – there are no challenges with Non US payments. Several punters close to SBS have confirmed fast withdrawals. A member of our own staff, who lives in Canada, requested a withdrawal on October 22 which was paid the same day, and another on October 30, 2011 which was paid the next day. His payment method was Moneybookers. At this time there is no challenge at all for Non US players wishing to wager here.

Responsible Action by SBS

As purely a precautionary measure, SBS has placed 5Dimes’ rating on hold We’ve also temporarily redirected all outgoing links (from our website to theirs) to this page. We believe this is temporary move and their rating (SBS Rated A) will be restored soon. As our website is entirely about looking out for punters, we are taking advanced precautionary action “just in case” this is the start of a larger issue. We believe however it’s very likely this matter will be resolved entirely in the coming days. In the meantime we suggest using our Sportsbook Rating Guide to find an alternative.
